The Jayhawks Oakland Concert reviews
Very Underwelming!
This concert was indeed disappointing, but not due to Chris The Jayhawks and his band's fault. The poor sound in this venue, as usual, made vocals hard to hear, and the sound techs seemed to intentionally obscure the opening act Cavo. However, this was not enough to ruin the show for me. What I found most disappointing, and what I was truly anticipating, was Theory of a Deadman. They were the worst live act I have ever seen in my life, with missed notes and lyrics making me question if they were the real band. If Theory had been the main act, I would have left mid-show—it was truly painful. The only saving grace that raised the overall grade from poor to fair was Chris The Jayhawks. He met my expectations and showcased his gifted singing ability, despite the direction his music has taken in the latest album. While it resembles a Rascal Flatts tribute album, his band's performance has good entertainment value. If you get the chance to attend this show, I recommend waiting until Chris partners with a live-capable opening act. Such a pity...
